Full-time MBA Program at HHL - Gain skills for success in business and an international experience
The HHL MBA Program is designed to help you get the knowledge and skills for your continuing success in global business. The HHL MBA is a full-time program which lasts for 18 months. The HHL Full-time MBA is made up of case studies, and field projects are developed out of these relationships.
The HHL MBA has a high-class international faculty, which not only sharpens your analytical skills but also your interpersonal skills. Our faculty specializes in: Marketing, Finance, Communication, Team Management, Project Management, Negotiation and much more.
HHL is home to leading professors doing leading research, our competence centers and department chairs are engaged with businesses in order to solve the challenges of today's ever-changing global landscape. We are joined by leading business figures from around various industries for seminars, workshops and open forums. HHL is highly intertwined with the private sector, further evidence that you are on the path to success.

On the Full-time HHL MBA Program, all MBA students have different backgrounds. The intensive program itself is flexible enough to allow you to tailor the MBA to support your individual developmental needs through increased choice, flexibility and length.
The MBA curriculum is made up of core courses arranged in three cross-functional modules. Additionally, there are five interdisciplinary modules to choose from as well as the International experience (internship- or study abroad) option. A variety of electives can be chosen among five interdisciplinary elective modules.
Apart from your MBA courses, international students can benefit from our German language courses, ranging from beginners to intermediate and business level.

Become a student at HHL - Join our Full-time MBA Program
As an MBA student at HHL, you will enjoy studying with students from all over the world with very different professional experience. While the class is going to be very diverse, one thing is clear: class discussions will be fruitful and interesting.
HHL prides itself on a diverse student body both in depth of experience and scope of education, our students are as young as 23 and as experienced as 40. Typically with corresponding work experience ranges of 6 months to over 10 years.
Our students are all ambitious and believe that HHL is one of the best places in the world to prepare for successful careers in international business and management.
Educational background
You should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification.
Work experience
Our current MBA students have a good performance record. The range of work experience in the class is between three and ten years. The minimum requirement is three years of work experience.
International exposure
Our MBA Program currently attracts students from 36 countries. We select students with an international outlook, and/or those who can build on existing international exposure.

Please note: The application deadline for non-EU applicants is on May 30, due to visa-requirements.
EU applicants and citizens of Australia, Israel, Japan, Canada, New Zealand and the USA are able to apply until June 30.

The HHL Full-time MBA focuses on Leadership and Global Experience
HHL's MBA program focuses on leadership, global experience, and applying an integrated management approach.
We offer you in-depth management knowledge from an integrated perspective to serve your individual interests and needs. This interdisciplinary and cross-functional approach prepares you best for the challenges that today’s globally attuned business leaders face.
Company visits will take you to different cities in Germany during your stay at HHL, giving you the opportunity to discover interesting business models and companies (e.g. Porsche Leipzig).
The MBA Program is structured into three parts
Core modules: The compulsory core modules provide you with basic management concepts and functions. These functional courses students from different professional and academic backgrounds can find a common language and acquire state-of-the-art management knowledge.
Elective modules: The elective modules are designed to reflect the management challenges that business leaders of today are facing. This cross-functional approach ensures that you acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for management tasks in business and society. The integrated approach of the courses means that you will gain expertise in your personal fields of interest and learn to select and combine a variety of management tools. The module International Experience fosters a personal experience by offering an exchange term at one of our 100 partner universities around the globe or a company internship.
Master thesis: The master thesis is a cornerstone of our academic program. Investigating a topic deriving from your personal managerial experience on the basis of the input from the study modules, you will write a scholarly paper which synthesizes theory and practice.
Flexible program duration: Our flexible full-time MBA may take up to 18 months when you choose to do a semester abroad and write your Master thesis afterwards. The curriculum also ensures a balanced workload if you decide for a 15-months study program. This is the case when you choose not to go abroad and write your master thesis instead or if you wish to do the semester abroad and write your thesis at the same time.

HHL Full-time MBA - International Experience
The HHL Full-time MBA Program exposes students to international experiences. International competence is essential for a business leader. Global partnerships are one of HHL’s key assets.
We serve our small family of students with more than 100 partner universities from all over the world: Australia to Uruguay, Nagoya to Bratislava - the possibilities are endless. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to earn an additional degree at selected partner universities ( double degree).
The HHL MBA also supports international internships with major companies. When you choose the internship option for the 5th term, you choose a practical experience that builds on all you have learned and expands your network. You are supported by the career service.

Expenses / Tuition Fees
The fee for the HHL Full-time MBA in General Management is EUR 27,000.
This fee covers all teaching and examination services of HHL according to the academic calendar for the compulsory and elective program, as well as course materials. Also included in the charge is the term abroad at one of our partner universities.
HHL MBA Scholarships
Scholarships from well known institutions, e.g. the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), are awarded to highly talented and outstanding candidates. The Admissions Committee and HHL sponsors choose candidates who represent the qualities and entrepreneurial talent we look for in future leaders. The amount of any merit scholarship also depends on the candidate's financial circumstances.
